MATTRESS DETAILS

Mattress Technology:

Mattress Springs: 1326 luxury pocket springs in 5'0 (150cm), 1.52mm Vanadium steel springs, 54mm in diameter, sewn in individual calico pockets and hand-formed into a honeycomb-nested unit.
Mattress Border: 21cm deep with two rows of genuine hand side-stitching, horizontal handles, air vents on all sides, border edges upholstered with coir and wool, hand finished with piped ticking.
Mattress Upholstery: Upholstered with 300gsm British fleece wool then 1,700gsm of hand-teased Devonshire fleece wool. Overlaid with 600gsm of British fleece wool. Covered with your choice of finest quality Belgian ticking from the Vispring collection. Hand tufted with felt washers.
Divan Construction: De Luxe Divan: 600 pocketed springs mounted on a screwed and glued solid timber frame. The divan frame is covered with insulating wadding, and the ticking case is calico lined for added protection.

Divan Upholstery: 600gsm of British fleece wool overlaid with 600gsm of needled British fleece wool. Covered with your choice of our finest quality ticking or upholstery fabric from our collection.

DIVAN DETAILS - The Plymouth Divan's true firm edge design provides a structural, solid wood top edging around the perimeter of the divan for a firmer and supportive sleep experience. Within the top edging, a recessed spring unit provides excellent cushioning while avoiding any “roll-off” feeling. Provides excellent divan geometry with clean design lines for a sleek upholstered finish with minimal doming between the mattress and divan.

Care

CARE FOR YOUR MATTRESS

Letting your mattress settle
When your mattress arrives remove all wrappings to allow the mattress to air. Your mattress may seem shorter than its base/divan. Once unpacked, the mattress will gradually return to full size. If you find that the mattress is settling unevenly, turn the mattress.

Turning the mattress
Mattresses may need to be turned occasionally, regularly, or not at all. For specific advice, please consult the booklet which comes with your mattress.

Tufts
Your Vispring mattress is hand-tufted. They ensure the upholstery remains in place, but are designed to 'snap' if put under any undue strain to avoid damage to the mattress. They can be easily replaced.

Cleaning your mattress
Do not use a vacuum cleaner. Use a soft brush to remove any fluff. In case of spillage, blot the liquid quickly with a dry absorbent cloth.

Moving your mattress
If you are moving house, wrap up the mattress well, give it good support and keep it flat. Never roll or fold your mattress.

Tensions

We have several tensions available across all our mattresses. Please select your preferred tension.

Weight guidelines for Soft is up to 11 stone (70kg), Medium between 11 - 16 stone (70kg - 102kg), Firm 16 - 20 stone (102kg - 127kg) and Extra Firm is above 20 stone (127kg).

If you are sharing your bed with a partner, split combination tensions are available on King Size mattresses or larger. Zip & Link options are also available on Small Super King sized or above (additional charge will apply).
